Public media utility

TikTok to MP4 Downloader

Paste a public TikTok video link to preview and save the video file an available provider returns. If that file is MP4, you get MP4; this tool does not convert formats, improve quality, or remove a watermark from the picture.

Use Share → Copy link on the specific post. Profile links do not select a file.

One post, one file

Save the video you meant to open

  1. Copy the post link. Open the individual video in TikTok and choose Share → Copy link. A profile URL points to a creator, not to a particular video. Full post URLs and supported TikTok short links work here.
  2. Find and check the result. Paste the link above and select Find video. Compare the creator, caption, and preview with the post you chose. A successful lookup identifies one public post; it does not search an account for you.
  3. Save the returned file. Select Download source video. The browser saves the bytes returned by the media host. The file extension follows its reported media type, so an MP4 is available only when the source supplies MP4.
How this TikTok video lookup reaches a download A link to one public post is checked with a media provider. You preview its returned video, then download that same source file without conversion. 01 · INPUT Public post link one video, not a profile 02 · VERIFY Provider result creator + video preview 03 · SAVE Source video file format stays the same
The preview and download depend on the provider's available file. This is a file lookup, not a video converter.
Choose a saving route

TikTok's Save video button or this link tool?

The creator allows downloads

In the TikTok app, open the post and choose Share → Save video. That is TikTok's built-in route. TikTok's download instructions say the option appears when the creator allows it.

You have a public link and permission

Use the form above to inspect the file a separate public provider can supply. It may differ from TikTok's in-app save, and availability, watermark, and quality can vary. This site does not ask for your TikTok password.

It is your own video before posting

Keep your editing master. TikTok also documents More options → Save to device on the post screen, so you can retain a copy before publishing. A later download cannot recreate your original project or uncompressed export.

Save video is missing

TikTok's download settings let creators control downloads. If another creator has disabled saving, respect that choice: ask for permission or share the post link instead of treating a public link as consent to reuse the file.

Understand the file

What “MP4 download” can and cannot promise

An MP4 is a video container format, not a quality grade. The provider may return an MP4 or another supported video type; the download endpoint keeps the returned bytes and chooses the filename extension from the response. Changing an extension by hand will not convert the file.

Watermark

The returned picture may have a watermark or may not. This tool does not erase text or logos embedded in video frames and offers no watermark selection.

Resolution and sound

They depend on the returned source. The tool does not upscale, re-encode, repair compression, replace audio, or provide the creator's original upload.

One video at a time

A photo post is a different asset. If the link resolves to a Photo Mode carousel, use the photo downloader for its individual slides.

Before you use a saved copy: play it through, check the creator and caption against the original post, look for cropped or overlaid text, and confirm the sound and file format your editor needs. If you need a clean export of your own work, return to your source project first. The video export checklist helps with format and quality checks.

When something goes wrong

Find the missing link, preview, or file

Why does a profile link or username fail?

The form needs one video post. In TikTok, open that video and use Share → Copy link. A creator's profile, sound page, or search result cannot tell the tool which file you want.

Why does the post open in TikTok but no video appear here?

The independent provider may return only post details, no playable file, or an expired link. Private, removed, age-restricted, and region-restricted posts may also be unavailable. Recopy the exact post URL and try later; an unavailable provider result does not prove the post is gone.

Why can I see a preview but the download fails?

The media host may let a browser preview a file yet reject or expire the later download request. Run Find video again for a fresh URL, then save promptly. The download also depends on the media host responding through our server.

Where did my download go on my phone?

In iPhone Safari, check the Downloads button or the Downloads folder in Files; the location can be changed in Safari settings. On Android Chrome, check Chrome's Downloads or the Files app. See Apple's Files instructions and Google's Chrome instructions.

Can I upload or reuse someone else's saved video?

A downloadable file does not grant publishing, editing, or commercial rights. Get the relevant creator and music permissions for your intended use. For your own cross-platform edit, start with the repurposing workflow and audio rights guide.

Does this tool require a TikTok account?

No TikTok sign-in is requested. The post link is sent through our server to a public content provider, and playing the preview contacts its media host. Read the privacy policy for details.
