The sound file may differ from what you hear in the video
The result is the separate audio URL supplied for that post. It may be a selected song, an original sound, or another sound asset associated with the post. A creator's spoken words, room noise, or effects can be part of the video's mixed audio instead. Listen to the preview before you save anything.
From a TikTok link to an audio file
- Copy a specific public post. In TikTok, open the video or photo post and use Share → Copy link. A profile, username, or standalone sound page does not identify a post for this form.
- Find and verify the sound. Paste the link above and choose Find audio. Check the creator and sound label in the result, then play the preview. A song label is useful context, not proof that the file includes every voice or effect in the post.
- Save the available source. Choose Download source audio. The file extension follows the returned media type; it may be MP3, M4A, AAC, or another supported audio format. The tool does not increase bitrate or convert to MP3.
What are you trying to keep?
The sound associated with a post
Use the form above. Preview the returned file before adding a permitted copy to your own project.
Your own spoken voice or full video mix
Start with your original recording or editing project. This lookup cannot recover separate speech, remove background music, or pull the final mixed soundtrack out of the video.
A song you heard in a TikTok
Use the post's sound label as a clue, then find the recording through an authorized music source. The returned clip is not guaranteed to be the full song or a licensed music download.
The post's picture or photo slides
Use the video downloader for an available video file, or the photo downloader for individual carousel images.
A saved file does not include reuse rights
Before putting the sound in an edit, decide who made the recording, where the finished work will appear, and whether it promotes a product or service. “Original sound” is a TikTok label; it does not establish that every part of that recording is yours to republish.
For promotional posts on TikTok, TikTok recommends its Commercial Music Library because its licenses for music outside that library do not cover commercial use. TikTok's Business Help Center also says businesses should check rights before using another user's original sound. Those TikTok permissions do not automatically cover an export to another platform.
If you are republishing your own work, keep a clean master with dialogue you control and add appropriately licensed music for each destination. The music rights checklist and cross-platform editing workflow explain the next decisions.
When the file is missing, silent, or unexpected
No separate audio appeared. Can the tool use the video instead?
No. When the provider returns no audio URL, the result reports that limitation. Check the exact public post link and try again later. The tool cannot convert a video into an audio file.
The preview plays a song but not the creator's speech. Why?
The provider may supply the post's separate sound asset while speech exists only in the mixed video. If it is your own post, look for the unedited recording or editor project to recover your voice track.
The preview or download fails even though the post loads. What now?
Media hosts can block browser playback or let links expire. Run the lookup again for a fresh link and try the download. If both fail, confirm that the post and sound are still available publicly.
Can this restore a sound TikTok muted?
No. TikTok can remove sounds for copyright or Community Guidelines reasons. Its muted-video instructions explain how to check the reason in the app and replace a sound when the option is offered. This page cannot restore a removed asset or clear a claim.
Why is the file not MP3?
This download preserves the file the source supplies. An extension rename will not change the encoding or improve the quality. If your editor needs a different format, convert a copy you have permission to use in an audio editor.
