You can use ViewTikTokStory without creating an account or signing in to TikTok. A search still sends a public username or video link to our server and, when needed, to public-content providers. When advertising is enabled, eligible tool and guide pages can load Google advertising code; media and fonts can also come from outside services. This page explains those requests, what is saved on your device, and how to make choices about your data.
Our public-content tools do not ask for your TikTok password or use your TikTok account session to make a lookup. That does not make the visit invisible to every service. Our hosting provider receives ordinary web requests; advertising and media providers can receive browser requests; and a public-content source receives the username or link needed for a lookup. We cannot control how those outside services handle their own records.

The data involved depends on the action you take. This overview follows the current site code.
Your browser sends your IP address, requested page, and standard request headers to the hosting service. It also requests Google Fonts. When advertising is enabled, eligible pages can load Google AdSense code; those providers may receive technical details such as IP address, browser information, and page URL.
A profile handle, TikTok link, or comment-video link goes to our API. The server may request public information from TikTok or TikWM to answer. The profile API uses the visitor IP address in a temporary, in-memory rate limiter. API request URLs may appear in infrastructure logs; a link opened as a page can also appear in browser history.
Some avatars, covers, images, video, and audio load directly from external media hosts, which can see the browser request and IP address. Downloads routed through our API fetch media from an approved external host and return it to you. Your browser handles the saved file according to its settings.
The voice generator sends the text you enter and the selected voice through our server to a community speech service at tiktok-tts.weilnet.workers.dev. It returns an MP3. Please do not enter passwords, private messages, or other sensitive text; that service has its own data practices.
The light, dark, or system setting is saved in your browser’s local storage as viewtikstory_theme. This is local storage, not a theme cookie.
The profile viewer may save up to six recent public profiles, including handle, display name, and avatar URL, in local storage as vts_recents. Its “Clear” control removes that list.
Local storage remains on that browser until you clear it, clear site data, or the browser removes it. It is separate from the requests sent when you actually run a search.
The current application has no visitor account database or server-side search-history feature. Its profile rate limiter holds IP-address keys in memory for short windows and sweeps expired entries periodically. Public profile and comment API responses permit caching for up to 60 seconds; media download responses permit caching for up to 24 hours. The voice API marks its responses no-store. These are response instructions, so they are not a guarantee about every browser, network cache, or provider record.
Hosting, advertising, public-content, speech, and media providers may keep their own operational logs under their own policies. We cannot promise a fixed deletion period for their records. Avoid putting private information in a search URL or voice script.
Requests about information held independently by Google, TikTok, TikWM, the speech provider, or your browser should also be directed to that provider. We can only act on data under our control.
The site does not offer accounts for children or ask visitors to submit a date of birth. Please do not enter a child’s private information in a tool. If you believe a child’s information was submitted to us, use the contact address below and tell us which tool was used.
